One thing I should mention about the 3Com Card. It has an X-Jack Antenna
which is a loop that sticks out of the PCMCIA slot. This acts both as an
antenna and a switch. As an antenna it picks up the router signal very
strongly, but it is the switch that sets it apart. To turn off the card, all
you have to do is push the loop into the interior of the card and the card¹s
power is disconnected and the card shuts itself off. You don¹t have to eject
the card and since there is nothing that sticks out, it cannot be damaged.
