Yeah, I bought a MacTruck (www.Radtech.us) for my 17" after my soft bag 
banged into the edge of a lab table at Vanderbilt University putting a mother of a 
dent on the side next to the plug.   The MacTruck is all aluminum and tough, 
also a bit heavy.   But well worth it for the protection.   The extra weight is 
worth the peace of mind.
