[Ti] tibook 400 stripes on the screen

Recently a friend of my give me his Tibook 400 because he bought a
ibook g4. There are only  2 bad things with the computer, one is that
battery won't charge and the other is that the screen has 4 vertical
stripes.

For the first problem I think it has to do with the pram because my
friend told me that a week before he gave me the tibook battery was
working fine.

The seccond one ... hmmm, I don't know, but if I flex the screen a
little I can make the stripes dissapear.

Any suggestions?
