I can’t believe that any water would have actually reached the motherboard since none of the components actually touch the bottom plate. There would always be some space between a film of water and the electronic components. What actually touches is protected by rubber or plastic spacers. However, here is a possible explanation of what might have happened. The humidity sensor might have triggered shutting the computer down. In this case you would have to store the computer in a very dry environment for a day or so. Or if you have access to a vacuum chamber (I have an environmental scientist friend who has access to one), you could put it in and all traces of humidity and moisture would disappear very quickly, then reset the Power Manager and PRAM before attempting to start up. Of course if it was more than just a film of water, some might have touched the lower RAM module or gotten into the Airport/PCMCIA circuitry - or even the bottom part of the hard drive or DVD drive that contains the controller circuitry. Let’s hope it isn’t too serious... jg On 26-Oct-05, at 3:52 PM, T Molnar wrote: > So..... > can any one throw some light (not water please) on this? >
