[Ti] Heat up ...shut down-need information

Thanks for the input.

Thermal protection device...ah as I suspected.
Can't say it didn't give me a fright (and so near to Halloween at that).

Would a cooling pad improve performance somewhat or just ensure the 
machine didn't close down??
