In a way they have,  by giving away their developer tools with every 
Mac purchasedŠ it has paid off in a big way, based on the number of 
apps being released for OSX compared to OS9.

IM(not so)HO, those who buy this Chicken Little preaching that the 
sky is falling because of the move to Intel, should take this test:

Sorry, but all this speculation-presented-as-fact really does remind 
me of those predicting that Power PC, OSX, etc were going to be the 
death of Apple.

Though I also suspect that those who REALLY believe that stuff would 
be unsubscribing from this list and joining a Windows laptop group to 
prepare for their switch.
