You should be able to find a 1/8" mini plug to 1/8" mini plug cable.  
Then you can connect the Walkman headset out jack into your powerbook  
audio-in jack (or Griffin iMic input jack) and record directly from  
the Walkman. I do have one of these cables; I think I got it at Radio  
Shack.
