[Ti] Running MacOS 9.2.1 on Titanium G4 Book

I'm running 10.3.9 on my 867 TiBook w/ 768 ram; should I move to 
10.4.7?  Is it a free upgrade?  I'm not interested in spending a dime, 
since what I really am planning is a move to MacBookPro shortly.

Anyone want to buy my TiBook?  everymac.com says it's worth $1,100.  
Sounds high, but mine does have the extra ram, so...
