Hi, My Ti 667MHz, 1GB RAM, Combo Drive DVI is seriously on the skids. I replaced the optical drive last year. The FW port died 1.5 yrs ago, bought a PCMICA FW Card and used the card slot as my FW port. The top RAM slot clips broke, so the memory no longer stays in the slot. Starting up is a hit or miss and I always have to hit the option key and type in my password to get it started. Then once started One or all these things will happen. 1-will freeze 2-go to sleep and not wake up 3-shut off automatically 4-Ding 3x Thus far I figure I will have to: 1-replace motherboard (can do myself) 2-replace ram slots? (my tech friend can do) Sell the parts on e-bay and save for a 12" 1.5, superdrive, 80GBHD? The airport works, The RAM is good I would really like to salvage it if possible. I'd rather put in the labor and save the $$. I know it is not long for this world, but I can't afford to totally replace it. So... any creative/constructive suggestions? Thanks Alcovia ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL.
