Modem scripts? You must mean drivers.

Some cards are supported by the builtin airport driver. For other cards
checkout the opensourced free wirelessdriver: <http://
wirelessdriver.sourceforge.net/> or the IOxperts $19.95 driver: <http://
ioxperts.com/products/80211b_X.html> (you can try for free to make sure
it works). I have latter with the Orinoco Gold. 
There's also the commercial OrangeWare wirelessdriver <http://
