As Jay Ruuska pointed out involuntarily spreading PC viruses is already
an issue.

I'd rather Apple focused on anti-trojan/antispyware as I expect that's
where macs are most vulnerable. Virii is already taken care of by several
applications and it's good to have third party support in this area.
