I have used Carbon Copy Cloner and SuperDuper. I started out with CCC and currently use SuperDuper. I replaced my TiBook HD and restored with a bootable clone on an external HD created with SD. After doing a complete backup, you can do subsequent incrementals (update mode). You can restore a complete volume or just a file or folder. http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html http://www.bombich.com/software/ccc.html Bob Fowles At 4:59 PM +0100 6/26/06, thor wrote: >hi list > >Just wondering if anyone could recommend a good >free backup software for OS X? > >I don't need to clone the system or anything, just >update a folder on an external harddisk with stuff on >my laptop. > >(and I don't want to delete the stuff on the harddisk >if I have deleted it on my laptop (due to space)) > >I know I can use rsync in the Terminal but I'd like to >have a GUI app that does the same. > >Any suggestions? > >thanks >t >_______________________________________________ >Titanium mailing list >Titanium at listserver.themacintoshguy.com >http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/titanium > >Listmom is trying to clean out his closets!
