I had to do that to replace a broken hinge. Well, I would not call replacing the LCD itself an "easy" fix, unless one really know your stuff. It's doable of course, but easily one of the hardest repair operations to undertake on a titanium. I realize you most likely mentioned the take apart instructions as a way to get more info on what could be wrong and as a learning experience. I'd rather get a complete display myself, if possible. >A quick eBay search shows 2 Buy It Now listings for under $200. I assume you impled getting a complete display with cables, housing, hinges and all? That's available for less than $200. Found one for $149 plus $13.75 freight. I'm not sure I would do this for anything less than a 1Ghz machine, but I've spent on my 400 during the years. I crashed my display in 2006 and got a replacement display from somewhere, must have been my friends machine I think that he gave to me as trash (car accident). I also bought a complete 1Ghz for about $250 (in swedish currency) with a burnt motherboard. I'd love to get a replacement board, but they are too expensive for me at the moment. I could go $250 for one when I have the money.
