[Ti] 10.6 and maximum hdd?

Getting ready to upgrade my tibooks.

I know we have had this discussion before - my apologies for asking. 
Can anybody tell me the maximum size of internal hdd that a 500 ghz 
and 667 tibook will recognise?

Has anybody successfully tried 10.6 on their tibooks or is it just 
too much of a nightmare?
