<div><br></div>
<div>My 15.2" Al-Powerbook is connected to the College LAN.
This is a PC-only environment.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Last Semester, running an earlier version of OS X, I was very
easily able to connect to various PCs on the network, including the
(hardly used) PC in my office, and several others where I can access
public/ shared folders.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Now a new academic year has started, and now I am using 10.3.5,
and I find that I cannot easily access these PC any more. My own
PC has the IP address<font face="Lucida Grande" size="-3"
color="#000000"> 140.140.100.163</font>, but even with this specific
information, I am not able (using Apple-K) to connect to this
server...... so what was trivial in terms of file exchange, does not
even work now.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I almost get the impression that the networking under 10.3.5 is
inferior to the networking functionality under earlier versions of OS
X. I know that does not sound likely, but I am sure it is
possible.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Does anyone else have the same experience as me ? Not being
any expert at all on networks, I have no idea if there is anything
else that I can do (tweak) to improve the networking capability.
Is there?</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>I would welcome all ideas or suggestons, so that I am able to
exchange files easily once more.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>regards, Trevor</div>
