<div>Here in Saudi Arabia, a new dial-up service has been introduced
by Saudi Telecom. Simply dial a given number, there is no
password or username, and you immediately get a connection, and pay at
a reduced rate for the time connected to these special numbers.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>This seems a leap forward, compared to buying cards, entering
usernames and passwords, etc.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>HOWEVER, I am so far unable to make a connection to these new
numbers.</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Could it be that they have been set up in such a way that they do
NOT work with Mac ??</div>
<div>Is there not a standard for dialup connections that must be
used?</div>

theoretically convenient and cheaper, but no use to me if it does not
work with my Powerbook....</font></div>

now tried one of the new numbers that requires a proxy server setting,

that number, the connection is fine........ Does that make
sense?</div>
