Dear Jerry, Dear list, I would like to add the following. With this information, perhaps somebody knows a solution or at least can tell me, what exactly goes wrong. The application mail fails after restarting my computer. It does not fail, if I only let the eMac go to sleep or if I log out and log in again. But when I chose "shut down" or "restart" from the Apple menue, it fails There seems to be no countermeasure to get the application to work again. Removing com.apple.mail.plist from users/username/library/preferences does not help. The only way to get mail to work is to create another user and not shutting down the eMac. Does anybody know what this means? Thank you! Besides: Mail seems to be a very nice application. But if it really doesn't work, well I will look for alternatives. What mail program do you use? Can you recommend it?
