Stalls and slowdowns

I have upgraded to 10.2.3.  Yes it made it incrementally better.  However
when checking the process viewer, the CPU was being hogged by up to 98% with
HP Communications.  I finally trashed the software and now have my trusty
Epson 740i hooked back up.  I'll await the next upgrade by HP or Apple and
try again.  I still got error messages saying that some of the software was
no up to date (scanner) and I should check the website.  Pooh!
