Has anyone seen this error before? If So, how do I fix it? I recently came across an error on a three Mac network. The network consists of a Slot loading iMac OS 10.1, a 14" Snow iBook OS 10.1 and a 12" Snow iBook OS 10.1. Each of the three Macs has a different serial Activation Keyfor Microsoft Office X. I verified this through Microsoft Word's About Word option. The Error Message is as follows: "Microsoft Office X Cannot start because Microsoft Office is already in use. An office program is being used by "Xuser." Your installation exceeds the number of installations permitted by the license agreement. Click More Information to learn about Microsoft Office Licensing." It then has two buttons: one labeled More Information and another labeled OK. The Xuser is the name of the user attempting to user the software. We have three serials and have Microsoft Office X installed on an iMac (Slot Loading), a 12" iBook and a 14" iBook. There is no error message when two machines, one iBook and the iMac, have Microsoft Office X open, but the third user, the second iBook, attempting to open Office X gets the error. Weird huh?
