The top of the heap for Mac CAD is Vectorworks

If by home design, you mean building a house from scratch, this is it. 
You feed in what type of foundation you want, sketch a floor plan, tell 
the program what spacing you want on the studs and what finish for the 
interior, and it builds you a 3d model with charts and graphs of how 
many bags of cement,  2x4's and sheets of drywall you will need! Then 
with another click it does the blueprints.
