OK. Let me be as concise as I can.

Fact 1: Win malware >> Mac malware

Fact 2: Win users >> Mac users

Question: Why Fact 1?

Answer 1: Because of Fact 2.

Answer 2: Because of Macs are more secure, which I can prove by looking 
"at the consistency of design and the kinds of tasks a typical 
administrator must perform to make and keep the system secure", i.e., a 
theoretical systems analysis. Others may disagree, and I cannot provide 
an empirical test, but I'm right nevertheless.

Occam's Razor: "Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem". 
Answer 1 is the more parsimonious (let alone being based on 
indisputable evidence), therefore it is to be preferred.
