Disk Permissions Repair

There is a little program/utility/PrefPane called Macroni, available 
from MacUpdate or Version Tracker that will automatically repair 
permissions on a time frame that you set. It will also take care of the 
Unix Daily, Weekly, and MOnthly house keeping tasks for you seamlessly 
once you configure it. It is cheap as well don't remember right off 
what the shareware is but not much
