Generally, yes. That's about all there is to it. Some applications 
include an uninstall option with the install disk/download however it's 
not really essential. Others on the list will point out that simply 
dragging the app to the Trash may leave other files (preferences for 
instance) associated to the app still on the HD. Back in the day when 
HD space was precious I used to worry about that. Now, frankly, who 
cares?
