thanx ksd that link to joliet solved the problem some what. it turns out that the udf extension doesnt work with os9.2 and osx. i installed the joliet extension into my os9 folder and at least i can read the cds now. actually my coworker here at work is the one with the mavica and hes running os9 only so it does him a world of good. i have a sony 717 (i prefer the memory sticks )
