It worked for me when I upgraded from 9.1 to 10.1, pulled all of the
bookmarks out of IE.

If you should have any problems, then the freeware program Safari Enhancer
will enable Safari's debug menu. This menu has a command to re-import
bookmarks. 

So enjoy your upgrade. It's worth it.
