I suspect that's by design (considering that, prior to 10.2, Disk Copy -- now rolled into Disk Utility -- could be used to copy audio CDs). To copy audio CDs you need to use a utility such as Toast, DragonBurn, Discribe, FireStarter, etc. If you need precise, accurate copies, you're out of luck, because, unfortunately, Mac users do not have a utility such as ExactAudioCopy. (However, there have been reports of successful use of EAC under VirtualPC.) But, if you're not afraid of tinkering with the CLI, cdrdao has been ported to the Mac and it works pretty well. <0x0192>
