There are many options that a system or software designer might elect 
not to present to the general user (or at all). Reasons may be to 
preserve the consistency of interface, to ease support, to avoid 
liabilities, to comply with marketing considerations, and so on.

There are many examples of hidden or obscure options - the speed of 
pane slide, dual double scroll arrows, screenshot format, etc.
