From a discussion on another list, I gathered that Safari does not do what you want easily. You might try doing it with Opera, which seems to save pages differently and might do exactly what you want without a fuss. I find Opera easier to use for this and other reasons. There is probably a way to force Safari to do it, but I don't know what it is. Here is an overly simple explanation of what is going on as I understand it: The difference has to do with the nature of HTML, the language used to construct web pages. When a person constructing a web page wants to display a picture, they don't actually put the picture in place. They put a command there that tells the browser where to access the picture file and how to display it. When Safari saves a page, it saves the command and displays that as a question mark. When Opera saves a page, it saves the displayed image. Hope this helps. Peter
