Your thanks are welcome, but please don't draw the conclusion you were 
helped by anyone's crystall ball. You solved the problem by yourself.

I should like to think that the conclusion is this: If you proceed 
carefully and methodically, always with a view to isolate the problem, 
you can often find a solution, or at least locate the troublemaker, 
even if you start from scratch.
