I just want to second this advice. My husband and I were working on a project with contributors from all over the world. We early on decided to go the MS way and had no problems whatsoever. On the other had, I work in an office where my former boss maintained that "Microsoft is evil," and we had problems communicating even with other PC users. Also, I too am SICK of hearing that it was "my Mac" that screwed things up.
