Oh my, half a day has gone by and nary a response! Has this rapid
firing and entertaining thread suddenly died a Transmanian Death?
Pity. Let's not let that happen!
As for myself, I top post, I bottom post, and I interleave in these
lists and my more private correspondence, depending entirely on the
topic, context, and situation. I decide in each and every case.
Conveniently, making this reply is very simple. I subscribe to this
list in feed mode, only because in digest mode I sometimes had to wait
days for an X-Newbies digest to reveal itself. In other lists that
issue digests at least once a day, even for one message, replying to a
specific item is less convenient; a reply requires some extra
formatting chores to handle the subject line and the attribution at the
beginning of text. And sometimes I have to cut/paste to relocate my
signature. I suspect Jamie and a few others here would not care to go
that route.
