[X-Newbies] How do I remove multiple copies of the same event in iCal?

Hello all, anyone know how to remove multiple copies of the same event
in iCal? This is something that happened the last time I synced my
SonyEricsson P800 with iCal. There was a warning it might happen
(can't remember why) but I did it anyway to make sure that everything
was synced.
