[X-Newbies] Logo creation in OS X?

I am looking for a program to create logos for websites. I have been
looking at OmniGraffle, GraphicConverter, FlySketch and Seashore, but
I haven't been satisfied with the right combination of predefined
geometric shapes, ability of manipulating text and the ability to give
objects and text a metallic sheen. Anyone have any ideas?
