That's the list archive -its there so people can search it to see if
the question they have has already been answered. Most discussion
lists keep their archives online for that purpose.
So, the first thing to understand is that discussion lists are public.
Don't assume anything you post to the list is private, because its
not. That goes for pretty much any discussion list on the internet
unless it specifically mentions that its a private list.
If you're worried about privacy, you can do what millions of internet
users do -sign up for a free email account (yahoo, google, hotmail...)
and use an alias in your postings. You could say your name is George
or goode2shoes302 and nobody would know. You'll sometimes hear people
refer to them as "throw-away" accounts. They are accounts you can
simply abandon if you get too much spam or unwanted attention.
If you need help setting up a free email account, just let us know.
Other people on the list may know of other options. Just remember that
anything you send to the list is public, not private.
