I didn't think you were -- but the insults always fly --- possibly a sexism thing. Plus I'm a teacher for 40 years so tend to explain things in a simplistic and rhetorical way so as to elicit exact answers. I still believe it's the IP change... maybe the lock, which was left open and not the usual, did have something to do with it. Stranger things have happened. I'm OK with the insults. I set up the whole network for my 30-MAN office, modem, router, the works, 3 rooms. They would be lost if I were not at the other end of a phone to fix it, even when I'm driving. They don't even know how to get their PCs on WiFi and are constantly jigging with the router thinking it's that and screwing it up. I have to fix it weekly. I walk in with my Mac and get on instantly. It's that they can't even operate their damned PCs.
