Ok, well that is odd. Last night I attempted to boot to a FireWire HDD with OS X Server 10.2 loaded on it. Mac OS recognized it as a startup disk but would never boot to it, so I tried booting to the OS X Server CD, again it recognized it as a valid Start up Disk but would not boot to it. I tried holding the "C" key during boot - still booted to my internal HDD Tried holding the "Options" Key during boot - still booted to my Internal HDD So I booted to OS 10.2.4 on my internal HDD started the MacOSXServer.mpkg and attempted to install the OS onto the FireWire HDD. The OS installed fine (from what I can tell) but the iMac would not boot to it. Although, you will not be able to test xServe-features like monitoring blowers, temperatures etc.. /andreas On Friday, March 14, 2003, at 02:53 PM, Weatherly, Rob wrote: > Will OS X Server run an a new 1 GHz 17" iMac > I need to do some testing from home for a project > > -------------------------------- > Rob Weatherly > -------------------------------- > > ---------- > Check out the Mac OS X email list FAQ > http://www.themacintoshguy.com/lists/X.html > > To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <X-Servers-off at lists.themacintoshguy.com> > To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to > <X-Servers-digest at lists.themacintoshguy.com> > Need help from a real person?
