As I read through this once more I see the problem. You are probably right when thinking the iMac cannot boot on systems prior til 10.2.3. You should get a copy of the 10.2.4 server-CD. It will probably work fine then. Ask a local dealer to burn a copy for you as you already own (I assume), and have a license for the Mac OS X Server 10.2. Maybe they wont charge you, I don't know. I also run OS X Server 10.2.4 on a Graphite iMac. /andreas On Friday, March 14, 2003, at 04:30 PM, Weatherly, Rob wrote: > The only difference I see with that is the new iMacs (17" 1GHz) have > this limitation in booting to OS 9 (the cant do it), but I didn't think > that I would have done the same with OS X server 10.2. > The iMac shipped with 10.2.3 and I am wondering, is it incapable of > booting to anything prior to OS 10.2.3 > > -------------------------------- > Rob Weatherly > -------------------------------- > > -----Original Message----- > From: Sytse Kuijk [mailto:sytse at pobox.com] > Sent: Friday, March 14, 2003 10:24 AM > To: Mac OS X Servers > > FWIW we run OS X Server 10.2.4 on a graphite iMac... no problems. > > sytse > > At 09:43 -0500 14-03-2003, Weatherly, Rob wrote: >> Ok, well that is odd. >> Last night I attempted to boot to a FireWire HDD with OS X Server 10.2 >> loaded on it.
