Hi all, I am running OS X 10.2.4 Server on an Xserve. It went non responsive over the weekend. All of the drive lights were on and the fans were running but it seemed as if it were stuck asleep. I could not ping it. I looked in Server status and noticed this in the windows File Service Log it started out with this: ix_user.59': authentication failed [2003/03/23 23:03:50, 1] /SourceCache/samba/samba-23/source/smbd/reply.c:reply_sesssetup_and_X(988) Rejecting user 'unix_user.59': authentication failed With many repeating lines until this [2003/03/23 23:04:03, 1] /SourceCache/samba/samba-23/source/smbd/reply.c:reply_sesssetup_and_X(988) Rejecting user 'unix_user.62': authentication failed [2003/03/23 23:04:09, 0] /SourceCache/samba/samba-23/source/lib/util_sock.c:read_data(436) read_data: read failure for 4. I am particularly concerned about the unix_user.59 and IP addresses as they are unfamiliar. Thanks -- Joseph K Parshley III MIS Manager Infinite Media Inc 781-599-5175 ext 17
