[X-Servers] Unable to open System Preferences

Hi,

when trying to open System Preferences in my MacOS X Server 10.3.5 the
window is closed after 5 seconds. So I am not able to access to any
preferences.
I have tried several things without success (clearing caches, removing
preferences, creating new user, etc.).
The problem is common to any user I have or I create (admin & root too).
Does any one have any good idea.
