(server87.appriver.com has 2 ip addresses assigned). So those systems have forward entries. Do you have login access to the mail servers? If so, what do you get when you perform a nslookup, host, or dig on the ccccd.edu and server87.appriver.com hostnames from the mailserver? I did a test query against server86 and server87 with that email address and it indicated that it will forward to that address.
