I downloaded the latest version of RsyncX from Macosxlabs.org and am using it right now to backup a lot of data from a remote server to one of my own over SSH. I admit to all the various options being just a bit much for me and I started the sync up using the gui provided, clicking my options and then just hitting go. I set it to Maximum verbosity and it popped up a terminal window with the proper command pre-filled in and I just authenticated sudo and hit <return>. It seems to be going fine and I'm seeing files flying by in the term window. My question is this - I like how it's going right now, seeing lines of output for every copied file flying by, but I'd ALSO like this same output to be logged into a text file at the same time. I'm seeing a few "Permission Denied" errors and want to later go back and grep them (gotta know what's not backing up!!!). I could redirect the output into a file no problem but don't know how to "bi-direct" it to screen AND file. Can anybody tell me how? -opa -- //////////////////////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end. http://home.nyc.rr.com/attilan/wonderfal/ <-- NEW location! //////////////////////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
