It won't be the original awk.  New awk added a lot of functionality 
that's now considered normal.  New awk must be getting on for 15 - 20 
years old now.

Commercial Unix systems that have a 'nawk' will also have the 
original awk somewhere (maybe /usr/old).  Systems that just have 
'awk' supply new awk.
