[X-Unix] sync Address Book and PostgreSQL?

not sure how the Address Book works.. if it's like the iCal.. it 
creates some kind of XML file ?
if you could learn about that.. how to read that file.  It would then 
be a matter of scripts, maybe a cron job that could handle the imports 
into Postgresql, and from postgresql.. you could export out and 
handwrite an XML file..

I did something a bit similar to this with iTunes.. I had it where 
iTunes would do an export.. which actually I just did that manually.. 
then I had a script that would take the export and update a postgresql 
database.


Not much help I know.. maybe just a direction ?
