Eric Dahlman has a nice solution for those needing to print from X11 
applications that print only to Postscript printers.

I was also able to find a CUPS specific solution for my Jaguar 
situation from Eric Dahlman, who provided the following scripts and 
explanation

These scripts allow Gnucash and other applications to print with the 
default settings.
