[X-Unix] Escape key problems with ssh and ee

Hello list,

Since upgrading to 10.3.8, I've noticed that the ESCape key does not 
get sent across my ssh tunnel to my server when using the ee editor.  
Has anyone else noticed this behavior?  All is not lost as ^[ is a 
valid escape sequence, as well.
