okay, group... first off...i've been in the unlix/linux world a loooong time and NEVER heard any vendor pitch the CL as a selling point. the premise of *nix is that all are toolboxes and any good mechanic will tell you, using the correct tool for the specific job is more important than whether its made by snap-on or sold at sears. the discuss starts to border on silly. next....jamie,,,,, its all about flexibility....the comments re: CL starts to sound like one superimposing a winblowsze mentality to the conversation when its not even relevant. lets say i was going to allow you remote access to my *nix box... i would allow telnet or even better ssh but not never X traffic for obvious reasons. tell me how you'd go about using the system in that scenario.
