For a couple years (running Jag) I used a little executable called chmdump. It let me take a chm file and dump the contents as the htm constituent parts (with the other files, like pics, indexees, etc) to a target 'new' file. Very handy, very simple, nearly foolproof. In tiger, and searching the web, I find only the same executable, now ditributed as part of the DarwinPorts project. What a pain, three new /opt directories, etc just to get the one exe. I knuckle under, do the install, by the book, and on any run of the exe, i get: Bus Error What Bus, what Error? This is in Tiger, fully loaded. Annoying beyond belief. Such a simple thing, and only rather non-specific hints at fault isolation. Does anyone know this routine, or, better yet, have access to a link of a binary distro, or whatever? Thank you, Brian S
