(9 hours gives folks a long time to do lots of editing.) Actually, the best argument I heard for not streaming the keynote was the expectation of the "Victoria Secret Effect." Basically, far too many people trying to view the webcast for the facilities available, resulting in a poor viewing experience for everyone. Despite all the hype, the Internet itself is anything but "broadband." The topology of the net simply cannot handle a massive load. That's why operations like Akami have come into existence. {For example, I've been trying to get to "http://live.macobserver.com/" unsuccessfully now for the past 30 minutes.} The other comment of some possibility was the use of Quick Time 7 to address some of the streaming issues.
