Is there any way to dismiss the login window and login as a (GUI) user via ssh? Does that make any kind of sense? I'm using Remote Desktop to administer a bunch of client machines but, if no user is logged in, I can't get to the machines through Remote Desktop (unless there's some trick I'm missing?). i.e. If the remote computer is showing the login window I can't get to the machine via Remote Desktop. So how do I get the remote machine to get a user logged in as if they're at the console so that I can get in via Remote Desktop? Anyone got any help here? I'm going for that coffee now. Think I need it.
