[X-Unix] Run a VPN on a Mac?

Let me preface this by saying that when it comes to VPNs, I'm a  
doofus. I may have the terminology all wrong or worse. :)

What I want to know is, is it possible to set up a VPN server on the  
Mac, especially one that works with OS X's built-in VPN client?  
Something I can set up and keep running on my iMac at home and then  
connect to via my Powerbook while elsewhere, and have all traffic  
sent through it to encrypt it all?
